Day 1: ARRIVAL - DELHI

Upon your arrival in Delhi, a representative of our office will come to welcome you and accompany you to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: DELHI

After breakfast at the hotel, visit of the Old Delhi (Shahajahanabad), the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid Friday Mosque with a thrilling ride on the rickshaw in the narrow and crowded streets of Old Delhi. Following is a visit to New Delhi with its most important monuments: the colonial government buildings in front of the India Gate, the Mausoleum of Emperor Humayun and the Qutub Minar complex. Overnight.

Day 3: DELHI - CHANDIGARH (220 km. about 5 hours)

In the morning, early departure for Chandigarh - Arrival in Chandigarh and accommodation in hotel, short afternoon tour of Chandigarh: capital of Punjab and completely redesigned by the great French architect Le Corbusier. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: CHANDIGARH - SHIMLA (117 km. about 4 hours)

After breakfast, transfer to Shimla. You will climb the pre-Himalayan heights looking towards the Ganga plain: their slopes are green and lush due to the heavy rains. Arrival in Shimla and tour. Located at 2,100 meters above sea level, the capital of Himachal Pradesh was founded by the British who came here to try to escape the summer heat. The city, a true reminder of England, is surrounded by magnificent forests of firs, pines and oaks. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: SHIMLA - MANDI - MANALI (260 km. about 8 hours)

Departure for Manali through lush valleys dotted with typical villages. Along the way visit the temples of Baijnath and Mandi, located on the banks of the Beas River. Mandi: ancient center not without a certain charm, it was the capital of a small principality rajput entered under British influence in 1846. Continue to Manali. Arrival and accommodation at the hotel, overnight.

Day 6: MANALI - KEYLONG (115 km. about 6 hours)

After breakfast departure for the legendary and incredible Rothang pass (3978 meters above sea level) which gives access to the Spiti valley. You reach Keylong, the former capital of the principality of Lahul Spiti. Arrival and accommodation at the hotel.

Day 7: KEYLONG - SARCHU (165 km. about 8 hours)

After breakfast departure for Sarchu. We descend towards the Darcha plain and then we go up to the Baralacha pass (4883), one of the world's tallest carriageways, to enter the easternmost Zanskar basin. Dinner and overnight in a tented camp.

Day 8 : SARCHU - LEH (233 km. about 8 hours)

In a mountain landscape, we admire the chains of the Zanskar towards Leh. Cross the Lachlung pass (5060 meters asl) and then reach the highest pass of the route, the Taglang pass (5328 meters asl) and the second highest drivable pass in the world. You descend into semi-desert valleys passing through the pastures of Rumtse, Gya and Meru. Glaciers in the distance, rocky peaks, tiny plots of cultivated land: incredible! Arrival in Leh in the evening. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9: LEH - SPITOK - STOK - LEH

After breakfast, visit of the Tibetan monastery of Spitok and Leh. The tour of the Tibetan monasteries of Ladakh offers a unique opportunity to meet the Tibetan exiles, the world of those who escaped to Nepal in front of the Chinese invasion and, from here, sheltered in the valley of Ladakh, which is similar to Tibet. The temples, well preserved and sometimes animated by the presence of the faithful, express a particular art. Spitok: it is a group of buildings which has been recognized as a 15th century origin. Phyang: main monastery of the i Establishment of the Drugungpa sect, the church of the sixteenth century. Visit to the Stok royal palace. Following in the afternoon visit of Leh and his important palace / palace. The palace of Leh, although very in ruins, makes the grandeur and richness of this Tibetan lordship good. The style and grandeur of the buildings is clearly inspired by the Potala of Lhasa. Overnight.

Day 10: LEH - SHEY - THIKSEY - HEMIS - LEH

After breakfast, visit the monasteries of Shey, Thiksey and Hemis. Shey: crossing the Indus valley in an incredibly green natural setting for barely popped barley, you reach Shey, a complex that includes a very ruined royal palace and a gompa of the grupta sect. In Thiksey, instead, we find an imposing building, one of the oldest monastery in Ladakh (15th century), controlled by the Gelupka sect. It is perhaps the monastery most populated by monks, the one where it is easier to watch, especially early in the morning, enchanting ceremonies of great beauty, the view over the splendid Indus valley. Finally, Hemis, the name of a very famous and ancient monastery. Its collection of tanke, sculptures and paintings is, in absolute, one of the most important of the Tibetan culture. In the evening return to Leh. Overnight.

Day 11: LEH - DELHI - DEPARTURE

After breakfast departure by flight to Delhi, arrival in Delhi and hotel accommodation near the international airport to relax. Day available for last shopping. Late evening transfer to the airport and departure by night flight.
