Day 1: ARRIVAL - DELHI

Departure with flight to Delhi. Upon your arrival in Delhi, a representative of our office will come to welcome you and accompany you to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.   

Day 2: DELHI

After breakfast at the hotel, tour of the Old Delhi (Shahajahanabad), the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid Mosque with a thrilling ride on the rickshaw in the narrow and crowded streets of Old Delhi. Following is a visit to New Delhi with its most important monuments: the colonial government buildings in front of the India Gate, the Mausoleum of Emperor Humayun and the Qutub Minar complex. Overnight.

Day 3: DELHI - SAMODE - JAIPUR (265 km. about 6)

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Jaipur. Stop to visit the charming village and the precious Samode palace. Arrival in Jaipur and hotel accommodation. Overnight.

Day 4: JAIPUR

Breakfast at the hotel and immediately visit the Amber Fort, 11 km away from Jaipur, imposing fortress of Rajput civilization. The last stretch of climb to the fort is mounted on the back of placid elephants almost to recall the ancient deeds of the Maharaja. Inside the walls you can visit palaces and pavilions of refined beauty and the small but precious temple of the Goddess Kali. In the afternoon visit of the city, capital of Rajasthan, the "pink city", one of the most beautiful and picturesque in India. Visit to the famous and depicted in all the postcards Hawa Mahal or the palace of the winds and the palace of the Maharaja (City Palace), largely converted into a museum and the Astronomical Observatory (Jantar Mantar). Overnight.

Day 5: JAIPUR - FATEHPUR SIKRI - AGRA (235 km. about 5 hours)

After breakfast departure for Agra, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri for the tour of the deserted capital of the sixteenth century, abandoned after only 14 years of its construction, with beautiful red sandstone buildings. Arrival in Agra and accommodation at the hotel, afternoon is dedicated to the visit of Taj Mahal, named the first wonder of the world, which can be reached by horse carriage, called "Tonga". Overnight.

Day 6: AGRA - ORCHA - KHAJURAHO

Breakfast at the hotel and departure by Intercity train to Orcha. Tour of the ancient city and in particular of the Jehangir Mahal, palace built in 1606, on the occasion of the visit of Emperor Jehangir, to host it, and some interesting temples. In the afternoon proceed to Khajuraho. Arrival in Khajuraho and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: KHAJURAHO - VARANASI

After breakfast visit the famous temples masterpiece of Indian sacred architecture: the Western ones (built in the West) Hinduists, known for their erotic depictions and the Oriental ones (to the east) Jainists. Flight to Varanasi. Afternoon visit of the archaeological site of Sarnath, place of the first preaching of the Buddha. Visit the Ghat to attend the evening Puja, the evening prayer. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8: VARANASI - KATHMANDU

Wake up before dawn. Boat ride on the river Ganges to attend the purification rituals and the offers of the pilgrims in the rising sun. Walking tour of the ancient city with a stop at the Golden Temple and the Aurangzeb Mosque. Return for breakfast. Afternoon flight to Kathmandu, arrival and hotel accommodation. Overnight.

Day 9: KATHMANDU

Breakfast at the hotel and in the morning, visit the city with the Stupa of Swayambhunath on the hill, the Palace Square (Durbar Square) with its temples and the house of the "little girl Goddess". Rest of the day available. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: KATHMANDU

In the morning, visit of Patan, also called Lalitpur, the "beautiful city". Afternoon available for rest or personal activities. Overnight.

Day 11: KATHMANDU - LHASA

In the morning, flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Afternoon dedicated to rest and acclimatization to altitude. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12: LHASA

After breakfast, excursion to the Drepung Monastery, the largest in Tibet and still today an important center of studies. In the afternoon visit to the Jokhang Temple located in the heart of Lhasa and dating back to the 8th century and the typical Tibetan market of Barkhor. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13: LHASA

Full day of sightseeing in the city and its surroundings: the imposing Potala, symbol of the power of the Lamas. It was the winter palace of the Dalai Lama and is placed in a position for which it is visible from all corners of the city. Tour of the Sera monastery, after Drepung by width and famous because here the monks reproduced the Tibetan sacred texts and the Norbulinka, summer residence from which the Dalai Lama escaped into exile. Overnight at hotel.

Day 14: LHASA - SHIGATSE (295 km, about 10 hours)

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Shigatse (3900m.) Second city of Tibet. Arrival and accommodation at the hotel, afternoon at the disposal. Overnight at hotel.

Day 15: SHIGATSE - GYANTSE (93 Km, about 3 hours)

After breakfast, visit to the monastic complex of Tashilhunpo, survivor of the cultural revolution and the market, afternoon departure for Gyantse, arrival and accommodation in Gyantse hotel. Overnight.

Day 16: GYANTSE

After breakfast, visit of Gyantse with his Dzong (fort) and the very famous Kumbum, an impressive four-story stupa surmounted by a golden dome. Overnight.

Day 17: GYANTSE - LHASA (259 km, about 8 hours)

After breakfast, departure to Lhasa, arrival and hotel accommodation, available afternoon. Overnight at hotel.

Day 18: LHASA - KATHMANDU

After breakfast, transfer to the airport, flight to Kathmandu, arrival in Kathmandu and accommodation in hotel. In the afternoon excursion to the medieval city of Bhadgaon (Bhaktapur), Overnight at hotel.

Day 19: KATHMANDU - DELHI - DEPARTURE

After breakfast transfer to the airport and flight to Delhi, arrival in Delhi and hotel accommodation near the airport. In the late evening transfer to the international airport. Return flight home.
