Day 1: ARRIVAL - TRIVANDRUM

Departure with flight to Trivandrum. Upon your arrival in Trivandrum, a representative of our office will come to welcome you and accompany you to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: TRIVANDRUM – VERKALA [60 KM / about 1.5 hours]

Breakfast at the hotel and visit of the city of Trivandrum. Visit of the SRI PADMANABHASWAMY TEMPLE and the NAPIER MUSEUM. Following transfer to Verkala. Arrival and check in of the hotel. Free evening at the beach. Overnight at hotel in Varkala.

Day 3: VERKALA

In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Portuguese Church of Anjengo. Following is a visit to the English fort built in 1695 D.C. from the 'East India Company'. Rest of the day free for personal activities. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: VERKALA – ALLEPPEY – (boat trip to Kumarakom) [120 KM / about 3 hours]

After breakfast departure by car to Alleppey. Upon arrival, check in in a traditional Kerala houseboat for a boat ride through the water canals surrounded by green palms, cultivated fields, small villages, getting relaxed and being lulled by the waves and being caressed by the breeze. Fresh local food will be served on board by the Houseboat staff. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 5: KUMARAKOM - PERIYAR [130 KM / about 3.5 hours]

Breakfast in the houseboat and then check out going down to Kumarakom. Transfer by car to Periyar. One of the most famous destination in Kerala, Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in the Thekkady region is one of the most important naturalistic parks in India. Arrival and check in at the hotel. Rest of the day free to explore the rich spice market. Overnight in hotel in Pariyar.

Day 6: PERIYAR

Early in the morning, boat trip to the Periyar lake to observe and photograph animals and birds in their natural habitat on the lake shore. In the afternoon, another boat excursion in the park. Overnight at the hotel in Periyar.

Day 7: PERIYAR - MUNNAR [110 KM / about 3 hours]

After breakfast, we will leave Periyar for a spectacular and scenic transfer to Munnar - hill station of Kerala, famous for the cultivation of tea. Arrival in Munnar in the afternoon and check in at the hotel. Following is a visit to the Tea Museum and Tea Garden. Free evening for the shopping of spices and the crowded Munnar Town market.

Day 8: MUNNA - COCHIN [140 KM / about 3.5 hours]

Free morning for personal activities. In the afternoon departure for Cochin. Arrival in Cochin and check in at the hotel. Later we will go to a Kathakkali cultural show of Kerala art and dance, truly unmissable! Overnight at the hotel in Cochin.

Day 9: COCHIN – DEPARTURE

After breakfast, visit the city of Cochin with the Dutch Palace in Mattancherry, the Jewish Synagogue in the heart of the Jewish quarter, St. Francis Church, the oldest church in India. In the late evening transfer to the airport to take the return flight to Italy.
