Day 1: ARRIVAL – CHENNAI 

Departure with flight to Chennai. Upon your arrival in Chennai, a representative of our office will come to welcome you and accompany you to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 CHENNAI – MAHABALIPURAM (60 km. about 2 hours)

After breakfast, a half-day tour of the city: the Bronze Museum, the Fruit and Flower Market, the Court, the Fort Museum, the Marina Beach and the Cathedral of St. Thomas. In the afternoon departure for Mahabalipuram. Arrival and check in of the hotel. Overnight.

Day 3: MAHABALIPURAM – PONDICHERRY (100 km. about 2 hours)

After breakfast, visit of Mahabalipuram and its 7th century temples. Following, departure for Pondicherry. Arrival and check in at the hotel. In the evening, walk through the Pondicherry market. Overnight.

Day 4: PONDICHERRY – CHIDAMBARAM – TANJORE (180 km. about 4 hours)

After breakfast visit of Pondicherry. Visit the city and the Ashram of Sri Aurobindo. Following departure for Swamimalai. Along the way visit the Nataraja Temple in Chidambaram. The roof of the sanctum sanctorum is covered with gold plates! After the visit, continue to Tanjore. Arrival and check in at the hotel. Overnight.

Day 5: TANJORE – TRICHY – MADURAI (200 km. about 4 hours)

After breakfast, visit the Brihadeshwara temple dedicated to the god Shiva and the museum which houses the precious collection of bronzes from the Chola dynasty. In the afternoon departure for Trichy to visit the city-temple of Srirangam, where pilgrims celebrate ancient rituals on the banks of the river Kaveri. Then transfer to Madurai, arrival and in the evening we will attend the evening Puja at Meenakshi Temple. Overnight.

Day 6: MADURAI – PERIYAR (145 km. about 4 hours)

After breakfast, visit the colorful temple dedicated to the goddess Meenakshi, the museum and the royal palace of Tirumalai Nayak. In the afternoon transfer to Periyar. Arrival and check in at the hotel. Overnight.

Day 7: PERIYAR 

In the morning, boat trip on the Periyar Lake to see the animals in their natural environment. You will see "Wild Boars, Sambars, Wild Dogs, Langur Monkeys and Wild Elephants". Rest of the day available for relaxation or personal activities. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8: PERIYAR – KUMARAKOM (130 km. about 4 hours)

After breakfast, transfer to Kumarakom, arrival and check in at the hotel. Rest of the day available. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9: KUMARAKOM – ALLEPPEY (backwaters cruise to Alleppey)

After breakfast visit to the Kumarakom Bird sanctuary which is the most visited park by those who come to Kumarakom. There are many species of birds, especially in winter, when they migrate here in the heat. In the early afternoon check in in a traditional Kerala house boat to have a complete experience among the famous Backwaters of Kerala, intricate artificial canals that branch off like a dense web, through cultivated fields, villages of fishermen, etc. Lunch, dinner, and overnight on board.

Day 10: ALLEPPEY – COCHIN (65 km. about 1 hour)

Breakfast on board and check out the Houseboat, then departure by car to Cochin. Arrival and check in at the hotel. Rest of the day free. In the evening, we will attend a Kathakkali dance show. Overnight at hotel in Cochin

Day 11: COCHIN – DEPARTURE 

After breakfast visit of Cochin with the Dutch Palace in Mattancherry, the Synagogue in the heart of the Jewish quarter, the Church of St. Francis, the oldest church in India. In the late evening transfer to the international airport to take the flight home.
